Care & Shelter for Homeless Women

How We Help

Women can live at St. Clare Inn for a maximum of one year. The length of each woman’s stay will vary depending on her unique needs and circumstances. We encourage each woman to set goals at the beginning of her stay. These objectives will help to evaluate her growth.

The roles and responsibilities for women living at the Inn and staff facilitate daily life and promote  harmony. This is the Way of Life at the Inn.

All residents take part in the daily care of their personal space and the general care of the Inn. Women come together to prepare and share dinner each day. This provides an opportunity for the women to develop and/or rebuild independence and social skills. Violence towards self, other residents and/or staff is not acceptable.

The Inn is a smoke free environment and the consumption of alcohol or illegal substances is not allowed. Residents and staff meet weekly to assess the needs of the women and the program at the Inn in general.

Residents are expected to keep professional appointments, seek or participate in work/volunteer activities, attend support groups necessary for growth and healing, and to make life healthy choices.
